тАЬItтАЩs just one of those things that happened in the game,тАЭ Kaufusi said on SydneyтАЩs Nine News.

тАЬThere was no intent and unfortunately he has had some previous head-knock injuries.

тАЬI love being aggressive, playing hard, but obviously well within the rules.

тАЬUnfortunately that one did hit him over the head, but I donтАЩt go out there to intentionally hurt someone.тАЭ

Former Sharks and NSW Blues captain Paul Gallen, who has had his own share of run-ins at the judiciary, believes Kaufusi didnтАЩt do anything wrong.

тАЬI donтАЩt think it was the elbow that concussed him,тАЭ Gallen said on NineтАЩs 100% Footy.

тАЬIt think the elbow was a glancing blow.

тАЬIt was the force with which he hit the ground that knocked him out.тАЭ

However Blues coach Brad Fittler believes the NRL must get more serious about head injuries to protect player welfare.
