CEO and Founder of Me&u Stevan Premutico says his contactless mobile ordering app negates the need for customers to stand in queues to order food – ultimately allowing more time to spend with friends and family and minimising the spread of COVID-19.
“Let’s say the three of us are going to the Opera bar tonight we’ll rock up we’ll tap the beacon that sits at the middle of the table you’ll get a beautiful visual menu on your phone – you’ll order and pay directly through that,” he told Sky News.
“I think the big thing we’re seeing here is that customers no longer need to stand in queues – I’ve got a visual menu on my phone.
“So it ultimately just means we’re spending more time around the table with friends and family and less time standing in the queue and wasting precious time.
Mr Premutico also said the app has its “COVID benefits” and that there’s no longer “menus in venues” as they are dirty and a contactless mobile ordering experience helps limit the spread of the virus.
