No freedoms for unvaccinated Victorians amid 1749 new virus cases; WA search for missing girl Cleo Smith suspended; NSW reports 273 new COVID-19 cases

Western Australia has recorded no new cases of COVID-19, with just three active in the state.

Two of those are in hotel quarantine, while a third, a crew member from the MV Stolt Sakura, is on a respirator in hospital.

Premier Mark McGowan has hailed an impending vaccination milestone, saying that at current rates, 60 per cent of people aged 12 and over in WA will be fully vaccinated by the end of the week.

“An amazing achievement,” he said.

So far, 73.3 per cent of over-12s have received at least one dose, and 54.7 per cent are fully vaccinated.
