Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has kickstarted the implementation of the 100-day action plan envisioned by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
This initiative aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens, focusing on improving their ease of living. Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde has instructed all department heads to prioritize the timely and effective execution of the plan.
To enhance the office operations, immediate disposal of old and redundant items, thorough cleaning and maintenance of office premises, and systematic categorization and timely destruction of outdated documents in compliance with regulations, has been planned.
Improved amenities for staff and visitors including permanent arrangements for clean and safe drinking water, maintenance of hygienic and organized restrooms, creation of well-equipped waiting areas for visitors, and the installation of clear signage and directional boards has also been
Upgradation of digital infrastructure to make NMMC website more comprehensive, user-friendly, and updated, is also part of the plan. Strengthened grievance redressal mechanisms and the quick resolution of complaints with the goal of zero pending grievances, is also ordered by the commissioner.
Field inspections by officials and department heads are to conduct at least two weekly visits to regional offices. They are also expected to perform regular inspections of facilities such as schools, hospitals, health centers, markets, and public toilets to ensure functionality and public convenience.
