Nissan X-Trail 7-Seater SUV Official Bookings Now Open; Price Announcement on August 1

Mumbai, July 27: Nissan has officially commenced bookings for the all-new X-Trail 7-seater SUV in India. The flagship SUV can pre-booked for a token amount of INR 1 lakh. However, the Japanese automaker will announce the price for the SUV on August 1, 2024. The Toyota Fortuner rival will come as a single variant. For the uninitiated, the automaker is resurrecting the ‘X-Trail’ nameplate in India after a decade-long hiatus. It will be the second product in Nissan’s portfolio after the Magnite sub-compact SUV for the Indian market.

Based on the CMF-C platform, the 2024 Nissan X-Trail comes only in a 3-row configuration, unlike the version available in global markets, which is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater versions. Nissan will offer the SUV in three shades – Pearl White, Diamond Black, and Champagne Silver. In terms of dimensions, the fourth-gen X-Trail measures 4,680 mm in length, 1,840mm in width, and 1,725mm in height, whereas wheelbase and ground clearance stand at 2,705mm and 210mm, respectively. The 2024 Nissan X-Trail looks premium with an upright and squared-out appearance underlined by a signature-style dark chromed V-Motion grille, split-style headlamps, diamond-cut alloys, rounded wheel arches with plastic cladding, wrap-around LED taillights. It will be available in three body colours – Solid White, Champagne Silver and Diamond Black.

On the inside, the fourth-gen Nissan X-Trail has a well-laid dual-tone interior with black-coloured upholstery. Feature-wise, the SUV comes laden with ADAS, a dual-pane sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ABS with EBD, 360-degree cameras, 7-airbags and more. BMW 5 Series LWB Launched in India.

The Nissan X-Trail will be a petrol-only model. It employs a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder, turbo petrol engine paired with a strong-hybrid system. It generates 201 bhp of maximum power with a peak torque of 305 Nm while paired to an 8-step continuously variable transmission (CVT). The SUV misses out on 4WD drivetrain options.

The all-new Nissan X-Trail SUV is likely to be priced between INR 35-40 lakh (ex-showroom, India) as it will arrive in India via the CBU route. Once launched, it will compete with the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Meridian.
