Netflix releases first look of Prince William, Kate Middleton from The Crown S6 | Web Series

The Crown just debuted its first look with fresh new images of Prince William and Kate Middleton in the sixth and final season of the acclaimed Netflix series. The streaming giant released new still images of the latest season on Thursday on social media. The first look of The Crown Season 6 has been released.

Both the royals will be played by newcomers. Ed McVey will play Prince William while Meg Bellamy is set to channel a young Kate Middleton in the series. In one of the pictures, Ed is seen walking with Meg as Prince William and Kate, holding hands and looking at each other with a smile on their faces. Another picture features a close-up of Meg as Kate, who is seen in a class. There was also a picture from behind the scenes that showed the actors at the location where Kate and William met. The caption read: “A first look at Prince William (Ed McVey) and Kate Middleton (Meg Bellamy) from the sixth and final season of The Crown, coming 2023. Plus a behind-the-scenes bonus from filming in St. Andrews, Scotland.”

Fans reacted to the first look of the highly anticipated season and added comments. “Wow! Wow! Wow!! They look very similar to the real Prince William and Kate Middleton!” said a fan. Another comment read, “That’s a great cast, they look a lot like the real ones.” A fan also said, “he looks more like Prince William than Prince William looks like Prince William.” “The casting director needs a raise fr,” suggested one. “They really look perfect for the role,” read another comment.

Earlier, the actors were captured filming a scene on March 17 that seemed to be set around a potential meet-cute situation. The final season of The Crown began production in September 2022 and is eyeing a release date sometime around later this year or early next year, although no final date of release has been announced. The rest of the cast members for Season 6 include Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.

Season 6 of the series is set to follow the succeeding years in the run-up to Princess Diana’s death, alongside her boyfriend Dodi Fayed. The official description of the upcoming season of The Crown reads: “As The Crown enters a new decade, Prince William starts at University in St Andrew’s, determined to lead as normal a life as possible while he still can. Also beginning life as a University student, is Kate Middleton from Berkshire. As the pair meet for the first time on campus, a new romance and a new future for The Crown begins.”

Meanwhile, the Royal Family is gearing up for the coronation of King Charles III next month. After a lot of media speculation over the attendance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a press statement was released that Prince Harry would be attending the ceremony along with the royal family, without Meghan.
