Nationals Fans Wait Out Tornado-Warned Storm

A tornado warning and subsequent heavy rain and wind forced the Dodgers-Nationals game in Washington to stop early on Thursday, July 1. One of the fans in attendance, Ava Benach, shared footage from the stadium as the storm blew through. “You’ll always find something new at every baseball game. First time in a tornado warning,” she wrote on Twitter. The Dodgers were declared the winners 6-2 after the game was cut short before the start of the sixth inning. Credit: Ava Benach via Storyful
