Nandyal, October 20: In a tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh, a man allegedly killed his daughter-in-law after she refused to have sex with him in Nagaturu village of Nandyal district on Saturday. The victim, Sirisha, aged 30, was a daily wage labourer and resident of the village.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, the accused, identified as Kurumanna, attempted to sexually assault Sirisha while she was working in a field. When Sirisha resisted his advances and tried to flee, Kurumanna attacked her with a stone, inflicting severe injuries. She died on the spot due to the fatal blows. The crime came to light when Sirisha’s family members reported the incident to the police. A case has been registered by the Nandikotkur rural police, and an investigation is underway to gather further details. In another incident, a 24-year-old man, son of a former police officer, and his 20-year-old woman friend, walked into Kopri police station, in Thane East, on Friday afternoon, to turn themselves in, after allegedly killing a 33-year-old son of a local builder. The man told police officers that he committed the crime as the victim was allegedly blackmailing his friend, seeking sexual favours.
