Mumbai, September 24: In a shocking incient in Mumbai’s neighbouring Palghar district, two teenagers were allegedly stabbed after a drunken brawl at a birthday party in Nalasopara. After the incident, the Tulinj police arrested eight people in connection with the incident. Police officials said that the eight accused allegedly stabbed and critically injured two 17-year-old boys following a tiff during a birthday party, which occurred on Saturday, September 21.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, all arrested accused are residents of Nalasopara. Cops said the accused had been booked for an attempt to murder after they stabbed the two teenagers with knives and broken beer bottles. The alleged incident occurred on Saturday during a birthday party held in a banquet hall at Pragati Nagar in Nalasopara. A police official said that the party was attended by the accused, Rizwan Khan, and his accomplices Akash Kadam, Dheeraj Yadav, Satyam Singh, Gaurav Yadav, Jigar Tiwari, Happy Singh, and Rahul Singh. They also said that a college student named Adnan Khan and his friend Hatim Shaikh were also present at the party. Eyewitnesses told cops that a fight broke out between Adnan Khan, his friend Shaikh, and the accused, Rizwan Khan.
The tiff occurred over Rizwan spilling his drink. The eyewitnesses also said that in no time, the argument escalated to violence after Rizwan abused the two teenagers. They further said that Rizwan threatened to kill Adnan and his friend if the two did not leave the venue immediately. After this, Rizwan and his accomplices went on to assault the two boys. Amid the fight, Rizwan allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed Adnan and Shaikh. Following this, he broke a beer bottle and stabbed Adnan after the latter threatened to call the police. Cops also said that Rizwan also smashed the beer bottle on Adnan’s head. Meanwhile, a few others who were attending the party called the cops, who quickly reached the spot and rushed Adnan and Shaikh to a nearby hospital.
