Mumbai: CA Accuses Tantrik, His Accomplices of Manipulating Him Psychologically Using ‘Black Magic’, Extorting INR 2 Crore

Mumbai, September 28: A 59-year-old Chartered Accountant from Mumbai’s Dadar has accused three people, including one tantric, of extorting INR 2 crore from him using “black magic”. The trio allegedly duped him under the pretext of securing accounting and taxation work in Jodhpur-based companies. The victim, Bharat Gala, lodged a written complaint at the Naupada police station on Saturday evening, September 28, though an FIR is yet to be registered.

According to a Mid-Day report, Gala identified the accused as Ishwar Warkhade, a Tantrik, and his accomplices Mohammad Akram and Yogesh Prajapati. He claimed that the trio manipulated him psychologically, possibly using black magic to extort the money.

Kevin Gala, Bharat’s son, said the family was unaware of the situation, which began in January. According to Kevin, Akram approached his father with a business proposal, claiming that a millionaire family in Jaipur was undergoing a separation. Akram promised that if Bharat financially supported the legal process, he would secure accounting and taxation work for Gala in approximately 110 companies across India.

Kevin revealed that his father was enticed by the business plan presented by Akram, who continued to extract money under the guise of financing a legal battle without providing any legal documents. Kevin stated that his father was instructed to transfer money via UPI and RTGS to the accounts of Raisa Khan and Yogesh Prajapati, whom Akram claimed was his wife and friend, respectively. Since February, over 300 financial transactions amounting to approximately INR 1.65 crore were made.

Kevin also mentioned that there were over 655 recorded calls between his father and Akram, who attempted to persuade other family members to make further payments. Disturbing photographs, including images of black voodoo dolls, blood-splattered paper, a string tied to a compact disc, and other strange offerings, were allegedly sent by Warkhade to Bharat Gala via WhatsApp. These activities reportedly began between January and February.
