Data by eBay Australia shows a recent surge in wintry and sentimental gifts for mum, with items such as dressing gowns (62%), Ugg boots (182%) and scented candles (32%) flying off virtual shelves and delivered just in time for her special day.
“With the weather starting to cool, practical gifts to keep Mum snug are in demand this Mother’s Day,” eBay spokesperson Sophie Onikul says.
“While coffee machines and perfume are proving popular, it seems ‘Mum mugs’ are where it’s at, soaring by a whopping 237 per cent on eBay in the last fortnight.”
Whether it’s a bottle of bubbly to celebrate or a tech device to keep in touch, any gift from this list will last much longer than a bouquet.
