Morrison government’s ‘bone-headed’ decision to ‘pull the plug’ on community TV

The Morrison government is making a “bone-headed decision” in planning to “pull the plug” on community TV in Australia, according to Sky News host Nicholas Reece.

“For Melbourne and Adelaide this means the loss from the airwaves of community TV stations Channel 31 and Channel 44 after decades of broadcasting,” he said.

“The first job of our political representatives is to do no harm, yet the Morrison government is sleep walking into causing great harm, for no benefit.

“The PM and his communications minister Paul Fletcher must act immediately to save Channel 31 and 44, a creative gem for Melbourne and Adelaide and an important community service.”
