NEW DELHI: Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and adjoining areas on Sunday.
However, there were no immediate reports of any injuries or damage.
Tremors were also felt in various parts of Punjab and Haryana as well as Srinagar and Poonch in J&K.
The epicentre of the earthquake was around 70km southeast of Fayzabad, Afghanistan.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), an earthquake of magnitude 5.9 struck the region in Afghanistan around 10.19am.
