Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Indore DCP Abhinav Vishwkarma has appealed for understanding from muslim community in order to maintain peace and harmony during Holi celebrations.

A video surfaced on social media on Wednesday night in which DCP Vishwakarma was heard saying, “Mil karke manana hai. Or maan lijiye…Khuda-na-khasta…agar koi ghatna hoti bhi hai, to sab log yahan par samajhdar nagrik hain. (We have to celebrate it together! And just in case anything happens, all of you here, are responsible citizens.)

‘Aap sab samajhdar nagrik ho!’

He further added, “Agar kisi choti baat ko lekar vivad ho jaye, gadi takra gayi, ya rang dal gaya….koi bhi vivad hota hai, to humein usko suljhana hai. Sab hamare bhai log hain yahan par. (If any dispute arises over a small issue, like a vehicle collision or someone throwing colors, we need to resolve it peacefully. We are brothers here.)”

The DCP also insisted that people should act maturely and solve the issues mindfully in order to avoid any damage to the reputation or their locality.

At last, Vishwkarma asked people to approach him if they face any kind of problem. He promised that he will try his best to resolve the same.
