In yet another metro-related incident in Karnataka capital Bengaluru, a barricade fell on a moving car on Saturday near Mahadevapura on the Outer Ring Road, damaging the vehicle. However, those traveling in the car were unharmed. This is the third incident involving a metro construction site in the last 15 days.

The car, driven by Bengaluru resident Santosh Kumar, was moving past Karthik Nagar toward KR Puram and was at the Doddanekundi crossroads when the barricade fell on it, news agency ANI reported. Kumar was on the way home with his family, who all escaped unhurt.
Representatives from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) visited the spot to examine the mishap, sources told ANI.

In the first incident, a woman and her two-and-a-half year old son, were killed after an under-construction Metro pillar collapsed on them. The woman’s husband and daughter escaped with injuries. The tragic incident occurred in Bengaluru’s Nagawara area, where the Namma Metro is being linked to the city’s Kempegowda International Airport.
In the second instance, a biker was injured after a huge pothole opened up on Bengaluru’s Brigade Road, near a Metro construction site. Police blocked the caved-in section of the road and diverted traffic around the pothole.
