Police flooded Warnbro before a dramatic backyard takedown.
The man was charged with shooting at a tyre on the back of Mitsubishi at a front verge in Okehampton Road.
The street was teaming with visitors for a rugby club’s fundraiser at a home when the local allegedly dealt with a parking gripe his own way.
Police alleged he jumped fences to try and get away from police, before being found in neighbour Kathryn Butson’s backyard.
She said officers “yelled for him to get down on the ground”.
“It’s concerning,” Butson said.
Neighbour Melissa Boardman said it was “scary”.
“To think there are kids around here and someone has a shotgun you know it’s scary,” she said.
Officers are searching for a sawn-off shotgun.
Police said while trying to get away the accused shooter hurt his legs and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital under police guard.
A magistrate told him via audio link he was facing very serious charges and remanded him in custody.
