Major changes coming to Coles stores

Coles is changing their deli hours in selected stores, with some deli counters to close while the store remains open.

The supermarket has said deli counters will now close at 8pm in some selected stores to accommodate customer needs.

Others will close earlier or later depending on the store.

“We know that most of our customers prefer to shop at our delis before 8pm,” a Coles spokesperson told 9News.com.au.

“As a result, we are tailoring the opening hours of some of our delis to when our customers shop the most.

“Customers will still be able to buy their deli favourites including sliced meats, cheeses and antipasto as part of our convenient pre-packaged range often located near the deli department.”

The aim is to ensure the entire community has access to quality local supplies.

The changes come one month after Woolworths announced new operating hours for their fresh food counters, changing their deli operating hours to 7am-8pm every day.

Coles deli counters operating hours will vary depending on the store.

The supermarket is urging customers to check with their local store if they are unsure of their local Coles deli opening hours.
