New Delhi, August 15: Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its much-anticipated Mahindra Thar ROXX in India. The new 5-door SUV with the latest features and technology is launched on the 78th Independence Day in India. The Thar ROXX showcases a new design from its predecessor, the 3-door Thar. Mahindra has launched the Thar Roxx, which has a longer wheelbase and offers diesel and petrol engine options.
The 5-seater SUV comes with dual-tone interiors, a panoramic sunroof and interior features like ventilated seats, an electronic parking brake, an advanced infotainment system, cruise control and a Harman Kardon speaker setup. The second row of the Thar ROXX comes with rear AC vents, a centre armrest, and a type-C charging port. The 5-door Thar Roxx is available in multiple colour options. Mahindra Thar ROXX Specifications and Features
The Mahindra Thar ROXX boasts a new six-slat grille instead of the seven-slat grille found on the 3-door Thar. The 5-door Thar comes along with a triangular rear quarter glass and slanted metal roof. The Thar ROXX also features LED tail lights, LED fog lamps and circular LED projector headlights with C-shaped DRLs. The rear door handle is placed at the C-pillar, resulting in a cleaner side profile. The Thar ROXX badging is displayed between the driver’s door and the front wheel arch, while the radio antenna is positioned similarly on the passenger side. The SUV comes with 644-litre of boot space, a 19-inch alloy wheel and the switch from circular to squarish rear wheel arch from its predecessor further enhances its appeal.
The Mahindra Thar ROXX offers engine options for on-road and off-road enthusiasts. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and the 2.2-litre diesel engine delivers 330Nm of torque. The Mahindra Thar ROXX is equipped with advanced safety features, including a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, ABS and electronic stability control (ESC). Mahindra Thar ROXX Price and Availability
Mahindra Thar ROXX petrol variant starts at a price of INR 12.99 lakh and the diesel variant starts at a price of INR 13.99 lakh. The test drive of the SUV starts on September 14, and the booking will begin on October 3. The deliveries of the Mahindra Thar ROXX will start from Dussehra.
