The new 5 Door Thar from Mahindra is expected to introduce new tail-lamps so customers can differentiate between Thar 3-Door and Thar 5-Door. The car is expected to have an 8-inch touchscreen and appears to have a sunroof. The Thar 5 Door model may launch with rumoured six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability control. The reports say that the new Thar model may launch with a six-speed gears manual and anticipated six-speed torque converter automatic.
