Maharashtra Assembly Elections: ‘Progressive Parties’ To Hold Convention in Nashik To Discuss Strategies Ahead of Polls

Thane, October 14: Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly polls, “progressive parties” in the state will hold a convention in Nashik on Wednesday to strengthen their strategies for the elections, CPI(M) polit bureau member Dr Ashok Dhawale said on Monday.

The decision was reached in a meeting held on Sunday at the CPI office in Mumbai where leaders from various parties came together to discuss their strategies ahead of the assembly polls, expected to be held next month, he said. Leaders plan to emphasise the necessity of formulating alternative pro-people policies and adopting an inclusive approach to seat adjustments among all progressive factions under the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA-INDIA bloc), he added.
