Madhya Pradesh Shocker: 16-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Dies by Suicide After Jumping From 80-Foot-High Water Tank Near Garba Pandal in Dewas

Bhopal, October 9: A shocking incident of suicide has come to light from Madhya Pradesh, where a 16-year-old girl allegedly ended her life in Dewas district. Police officials said that the teenager died by suicide by jumping from an 80-foot-high water tank near a garba pandal in Dewas’s Hatpipalya. The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday night, October 8.

Although the reason for the girl allegedly dying by suicide is not known, the police have launched an investigation into the matter, reports FPJ. The deceased girl was identified as Jagruti Parmar. She arrived at the Navratri Garba Mahotsav at Geeta Bhawan in Dewas and then climbed the 80-foot-high water tank. Several people had gathered at Geeta Bhawan and were performing garba. One of the people saw Parmar and alerted everyone. They asked the 16-year-old girl to come down, but she refused.

Soon, the people alerted the police, who reached the spot quickly. However, when they arrived, Parmer jumped from the water tank. Cops rushed Jagruti to a nearby hospital, where she was administered first aid. Later, she was referred to a hospital in Indore, where she died during treatment. They told cops that last year, Jagruti failed Class 10, and this year, she was pursuing via correspondence. Her parents also said that she was not attending coaching classes. Meanwhile, the police have launched a probe in connection with the alleged suicide incident.
