Several people were injured after a speeding car, allegedly driven by a drunk man, struck multiple pedestrians in Rumi Gate area of Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow on Friday night, September 20. Locals chased the car, which also collided with an e-rickshaw before being stopped near Chhota Imambara. Enraged by the reckless driving, the crowd beat the driver and damaged his vehicle. Lucknow Police arrived to restore order, arrested the driver, and seized the car. Liquor bottles were found inside the vehicle. The injured were taken to the hospital, and a case has been registered at Thakurganj Police Station.
