Victorian mother Ange Shearman, whose son took his own life during lockdown last year, says continued lockdowns are pushing teenagers тАЬto the brinkтАЭ.
Her son Louie tragically took his own life in April last year, during the first COVID-19 lockdown.
тАЬBeing locked down increases teenagersтАЩ levels of anxiety тАУ the doubt, the not knowing,тАЭ Ms Shearman told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
тАЬI can tell you now itтАЩs taking its toll, we lost six boys in the Geelong region last year during lockdown.
тАЬThey need to be around each other, they need the routine, they need to be in school, they need the certainty.тАЭ
