Parents are pretty much free to call their child whatever they want to, but there are a few notable no-nos when it comes to names.
Celebs in particular love nothing more than a quirky pick – just ask North West, Apple Martin or Harper Seven Beckham.
Elon Musk went one stage further after welcoming son X Æ A-Xii in 2020.
However, there are names you are simply not allowed to put on a birth certificate and clearly, some new parents have tried.
If you’ve always liked the name Anus, we’ve got some sad news to bring you – and if you live Down Under and want to call your kid Spinach or Prime Minister, you may want to look away now.

Interestingly, Norway bans the use of surnames as first names. While in Portugal, foreign names are banned for Portuguese babies, as well as nicknames .
Even in the UK there are a number of banned names and many countries have strict baby name laws in place.
