The forest department successfully captured a leopard late Friday night, September 20, in Savanalu village in Karnataka’s Belthangadi. This marks the second leopard capture in the village within a month. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media. Frequent leopard sightings have been reported in the area over the past few months, causing alarm among the villagers. The first leopard was captured and safely relocated by the forest department on September 1. However, shortly after, another leopard appeared, preying on a domestic chicken.
