Mumbai, October 6: The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has extended the application deadline for the Konkan Railway recruitment process for various vacancies. The application process, which began on September 16, was supposed to end on October 6. However, the KRCL has extended the deadline, and now candidates can submit their application forms until 11:59 PM on October 21. It must be noted that Konkan Railway Corporation Limited has invited applications for 190 posts.
KRCL offers vacancies in several departments, including Electrical, Civil, Signal and Telecommunication, Operation, and Commercial. The official notification divided candidates’ eligibility into four categories. The notification stated that first preference will be given to candidates whose land has been acquired for a KRCL project. Second preference will be given to candidates who are from Maharashtra, Goa, or Karnataka and have valid employment exchange cards registered with the employment exchange along the Konkan Railway route. The notification also stated that a third preference would be given to candidates belonging to Maharashtra, Goa, or Karnataka. Lastly, fourth preference will be given to KRCL employees who have completed at least three years of regular service.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates should be 18 to 36 years old as of August 1, 2024, to apply for 190 vacancies of Konkan Railway Recruitment 2024. The recruitment notification also stated that the upper age limit has been increased from 33 to 36 to provide relief to candidates who may have exceeded the age limit due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the upper age limit will be further relaxed for reserved category candidates only. Candidates who are still interested in applying for the various vacancies in Konkan Railway recruitment can do so by visiting the company’s official website at konkanrailway.com.
