Mumbai, May 31: India Kawasaki Motor (IKM) on Friday launched its most expensive 400cc motorcycle, the new Ninja ZX-4RR, in the country. Priced at Rs. 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom), the bike sits above the Ninja ZX-4R in the Kawasaki’s product line-up costing Rs. 61,000 more than its sibling. It comes to India in limited numbers as a Completely Built Up (CBU) model. Presently, there’s no direct competition to the Ninja ZX-4RR in the Indian market. Powering the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is a 399cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine tuned to make 76 bhp at 14,500 rpm and 39 Nm of peak torque at 13,000 rpm. The unit comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter offered as standard fitment along with a slipper clutch.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR borrows the mainframe from its sibling but is a major upgrade when it comes to suspension. It gets 37 mm USD Showa SFF-BP forks upfront with preload adjustability and a preload-adjustable Showa BFRC Lite mono shock. For braking, the motorcycle is equipped with 290 mm dual semi-floating discs up front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR looks similar to its sibling – Ninja ZX-4R but gets a distinctive Racing Green paint scheme. On the feature front, Kawasaki equips the Ninja ZX-4RR with a 4.3-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, 4-riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain & Racer), all-LED lighting, ABS, traction control, and more.
