Kawasaki Ninja e-1, Kawasaki Z e-1 Introduced in US: From Specifications to Expected India Launch and Price, Check Details

Mumbai, October 6:  Kawasaki India has revealed specifications for its Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and Kawasaki Z e-1 in India. Both electric motorcycles are powered by unique features and better battery options. As per the company’s official website, the new electric motorcycles from Kawasaki deliver “clean EV power and quiet compression.” The new EV sports bikes offer selectable Power Modes and rider-friendly electric motors.

According to the reports, the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and Kawasaki Z e-1 were unveiled during EICMA 2022, but the details of these bikes needed to be clarified as they were in wraps. The company has now fully revealed all the specifications and designs of the new e-bikes to enter the Indian EV market. Kawasaki Ninja e-1 Specifications and Price:

The new Ninja e-1 comes with two removable lithium-ion battery packs. Each battery has a 1.5kWh capacity and can be charged with the company’s standard 120W charger plugged into any household. The battery takes approximately four hours to charge if it is 0%; if it is 20%, it will take two and a half hours. The new Kawasaki Ninja e-1 comes with disc brakes on the front and rear for comfortable riding. The added ABS works for security and friendly rides. The Ninja e-1 from Kawasaki comes with a futuristic and fresh image with silver and matte lime green colour and all-LED lighting. The price for the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 is set at $7,599 (approximately Rs 6,32,346).

Kawasaki Z e-1 Specifications and Price:

The new Z e-1 EV motorcycle from Kawasaki comes with new features. The new bike is also fully electric and contributes to zero emissions. It comes with Engine Management Technology where the riders get benefits such as smartphone connectivity, walk mode with reverse, power modes, electric power, ABS support, and ergo-fit. Kawasaki has introduced this new motorcycle with an air-cooled interior permanent magnet synchronous motor with a rated power of 5.0kW or 6.8 PS and a maximum power of 9.0kW or 12 PS. The rpm ranges for this power from 2,600 to 4,000 min-1 and offers a maximum torque of 29.7 lb-fi at 500 rpm. It also packs a two-lithium-powered battery and takes up to 3.7 hours each to fully charge. Kawasaki Ninja e-1, Kawasaki Z e-1 India Launch Details:

Kawasaki has yet to receive an official confirmation about its launch of Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 in India. According to reports, the company may not bring such EV superbikes to India. However, it is too soon to say anything as the company has introduced various superbikes in India. Depending on the pricing and performance, the company may re-consider launching its new Kawasaki EV motorcycles in India. The new Kawasaki EV motorcycles are open for customer order requests till November 30, 2023.
