Jodhpur, October 31: In a chilling case, Rajasthan Police on October 30 reported the discovery of 50-year-old Anita Chaudhary’s dismembered body in a 10-foot-deep pit in Jodhpur’s Gangana village. Chaudhary, a beautician, had been missing for three days before police traced her body parts to the home of a close friend.
The investigation began when Chaudhary’s family reported her missing after she didn’t return from her beauty parlour, which she had closed around 2:30 pm on the day she disappeared. Authorities found that she had taken a taxi that afternoon, and the driver recalled dropping her near the residence of Gulamuddin, who ran a sewing shop close to her beauty parlour. According to officials, further questioning of Gulamuddin’s relatives revealed that Chaudhary was murdered and her body chopped into six pieces using a grinder. Her remains were found concealed in a pit outside the house, with her throat, hands, and legs severed in what police described as a horrific act. In a heart-wrenching twist, the deceased’s son stated that his mother considered Gulamuddin her “brother,” and the two families had been close for decades. The son speculated that, after gaining her trust, Gulamuddin and his family may have lured her to their home and killed her.
Gulamuddin’s wife has been detained as police pursue the investigation, examining potential motives behind the brutal killing and tracing the whereabouts of Gulamuddin. Further details are awaited as authorities continue their probe into this tragic case.
