Japan’s Yuto Horigome won the first skateboarding gold in Olympic history Sunday, besting the competition in the men’s street event at Ariake Urban Sports Park in Tokyo.
Horigome topped the field with 37.18 points, ahead of Brazil’s Kelvin Hoefler in second and Jagger Eaton of the U.S. in third.
Skateboarding is making its debut at these Games.
