According to the exit poll, the National Conference (NC) and Congress alliance is likely to win 40 to 48 seats, whereas the BJP is projected to bag 27 to 32 seats. The exit poll has predicted 6 to 12 seats for the PDP and 6 to 11 seats for others. As per the exit poll survey, the saffron party is bragging rights in Jammu, while Kashmir is favouring the INDIA bloc. The Election Commission will declare the official results on Tuesday, October 8.
