Far-right activist Laura Loomer was escorted out of Bitcoin 2021, the world’s largest cryptocurrency conference, after interrupting and heckling Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey as he spoke at the Miami event on June 4. Footage showed Loomer being held back as she confronts Dorsey on stage and asks him to have a conversation about censorship. In the video, Loomer says “censorship is a human rights violation” and also accuses him of “interfering in elections” before being escorted out by conference security. Loomer said on Telegram that she was “kicked out” of the conference after the confrontation. Loomer has been banned from numerous platforms, including Twitter and Facebook, for violating hate-speech guidelines, according to reports. Loomer ran as the Republican nominee for Florida’s 21st congressional district in 2020 but lost to incumbent US Rep Lois Frankel. Credit: Anne Schwedt via Storyful
