Bhopal, October 19: A shocking incident of an attempt to murder has come to light from Madhya Pradesh, where a man allegedly stabbed his wife and her mother in Jabalpur. The alleged incident occurred on Thursday, October 17, when the accused, Vishal Rajput, stabbed his wife and mother-in-law before ending his life by killing himself inside a bathroom.

According to an FPJ report, Rajput was frustrated over his mother-in-law’s interference in their marriage, which allegedly led to the couple’s separation. The incident took place on Thursday night when Rajput visited Ranjhi, where his wife lived with her mother. Rajput Killed Himself After Stabbing His Wife and Her Mother

Soon, the argument escalated, and amid the fight, Vishal attacked him with a knife. When his wife’s mother tried to intervene, Rajput stabbed her as well. Both the woman and her mother suffered serious injuries to their stomach and back. After stabbing his wife and mother-in-law, Rajput allegedly locked himself in their bathroom and allegedly died by suicide after stabbing himself.

Following the incident, the mother-daughter duo were rushed to a hospital where their condition was said to be critical. During the preliminary investigation, cops learned that the couple had married against the family’s will and were living together in a rented house. Wife Filed Rape Complaint Against Husband

They also found that after some time, the woman’s mother forcibly took her daughter away from Rajput. It is also alleged that the woman had filed a rape case against her husband. The accused claimed that it was due to his mother-in-law’s influence. Acting on the complaint, Vishal was sent to jail. However, after his release, he kept asking his wife to start living with him to which she refused.

Later, they filed another complaint against Rajput, who was once again sent to jail. When released, he reached out to his wife for a settlement, but the woman and her mother moved to Ranjhi as they were frustrated by his threats. However, Vishal ended up showing up at their place, after which the tragic incident unfolded.
