It’s ‘absolutely time’ to get Netball into the Olympic Games

Retired Professional Netballer Sharni Norder says it is “absolutely time” to get Netball into the Olympics and Brisbane 2032 has to be “our last shot” getting in given previous unsuccessful Olympic application attempts.

“As a little girl growing up all I ever wanted to do was go to the Olympics,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“We did apply for Tokyo and unfortunately missed out, I know we also applied for London (2012) as well.

“So it is really really tough … we are registered with the International Olympic Committee now which is great news but is no guarantee of getting in.

“I’d hate to be a pessimist but I really think Brisbane has to be our last shot getting in and we have to throw everything at it.”
