IPL Set To Kick Off With A Bang On March 23, Confirms BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla

BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has confirmed that the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season will kick off on March 23. While addressing the media, He clarified that other topics, including the IPL playoff dates, were not discussed during the meeting.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) held a general meeting to finalize several critical decisions. The Women’s Premier League (WPL) has been confirmed to start in February. A new IPL Commissioner will be appointed for a one-year term.

Discussions about appointing a new BCCI Secretary are ongoing, with the selected official set to oversee several upcoming events. Another meeting, scheduled for January 18-19, will finalize India’s squad for the Champions Trophy.

Adding to that IPL will appoint a new commissioner for a one year term. As New BCCI secretary will have a couple of events lined-up ahead. Also regarding the Champions Trophy’s squad, BCCI will held another meeting by January 18-19.
