After an Indian student was stabbed multiple times in Australia, the government said on Friday it’s in touch with local authorities about the incident and expressed hope action will be taken against the perpetrators. The 28-year-old Indian student was stabbed multiple times in the face, chest and abdomen in Australia by a man who allegedly demanded cash, said reports.
MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said a suspect has been taken into custody. “He (Shubham Garg) is in a hospital and treatment is being done. We expect the matter is dealt with seriously and action is taken against the perpetrators,” he said.
