New Delhi, August 21: Japanese auto major Honda is bracing up to launch its brand new Elevate SUV in the Indian car market. The Honda Elevate is a highly important product for the company, as currently the company has a meagre lineup in the country owing to the discontinuation of most of its previous offerings.

Honda is hoping to witness a great response for the new Elevate, and it seems that Honda’s Indian lineup depends a lot on the success of this upcoming SUV model. Honda Elevate – Segment, Dimensions & Powertrain

The highly awaited Honda Elevate SUV was unveiled in June, and will be officially hitting the domestic car market on September 4. The vehicle has also started reaching the dealership outlets. The Elevate is a mid-sized SUV model, which post its India launch will go up against the likes of some highly popular cars including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Grand Vitara.

The Honda Elevate’s dimensions are quite at per with its arch rival Hyundai Creta. The Elevate is 4,312mm long, 1,790mm wide and 1,650mm tall. The SUV rides on a wheelbase measuring 2,650mm and boasts of segment-leading 220mm ground clearance.

The Elevate shares the powertrain with the highly established City sedan, which is a 1.5-litre petrol engine that offers 121hp of power and 145Nm of torque and is equipped with a 6-speed manual and a 7-step CVT automatic options. Honda Elevate – Variants, Features & Expected Price

The Honda Elevate SUV will be offered in four trim levels – SV, V, VX and ZX. The SUV will get equipped with features like LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, 10.25-inch touchscreen, up to six airbags, ADAS tech, 8-speaker audio system, leatherette brown seat upholstery, soft-touch dashboard, sunroof among much more.

As per the latest reports, the Honda Elevate SUV is expected to launch in India with a starting price of Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
