It was recently when popular television actress Hina Khan shared on social media that she has been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. In her statement, she mentioned, “I am strong, determined and fully committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger.” And now, Hina has opened up about attending an award show despite knowing about her cancer diagnosis. She shared glimpses from the event and stills of herself heading straight to the hospital for her first chemotherapy afterward. In her social media post, Hina Khan stated, “This award night, I knew about my cancer diagnosis, but I made a conscious choice to normalise it – not just for myself, but for all of us.” The video she shared showcases her strength and courage to step out glamorously despite knowing about her diagnosis. She further added, “This award that I received right before my first chemo was not my motivation alone, infact I attended this event to reassure myself that I am living up to the benchmark, I have set up for myself. MIND OVER MATTER. I attended the event and went straight up to the hospital for my first chemo.”
