In Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district, a potential disaster was narrowly avoided when a rolling stone fell onto the roof of a passenger bus near Kale village in Giri Par. Fortunately, the rock got stuck on the roof of the bus and did not push the bus towards a gorge at the corner of the road. However, two people suffered minor injuries. This comes after in another incident, a bus, carrying 40 Amarnath pilgrims, was on a narrow mountain road on National Highway 44 near Nachlana when its brakes failed forcing passengers to jump out of the vehicle.
