Heramba Sankashti Chaturthi 2024: Sankashti Chaturthi holds a great religious significance among Hindus. This day is dedicated to worship Lord Ganesha. On this sacred day, devotees observe fast and offer prayers to the Lord. There are two Chaturthi observances in a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. This time, it will be Heramba Sankashti Chaturthi, which is going to be observed during Krishna Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada i.e., on August 22, 2024.

Heramba Sankashti Chaturthi 2024: Significance
Sankashti Chaturthi has its own importance in Hindu religion. This day is purely dedicated to honour Lord Ganesha and devotees observe fast from dawn to dusk and offer prayers to Lord Ganesha with immense devotion. Each Sankasthi Chaturthi has its own story, and history associated with Ganesha Ji. Lord Vinayak is one of the most loving God, and the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He is also considered as the first worshipped God and without worshipping him first, no puja ritual and auspicious activity can be done.
It is believed that he is the removes all the obstacles and problem from the life of devotees so people who worship him, get rid of all the hurdles which they are facing in their life but they need to understand that the intentions must be pure and pious. If you have a pure intention and deep faith ion Lord Ganesha then he will never let you face any trouble in life.
Heramba Sankashti Chaturthi 2024: Puja Rituals
1. Get up early in the morning and clean home and puja room where you want to set up an altar.
2. Take a bath and wear nice clean clothes before starting puja ritual.
3. Take a wooden plank and place the idol of Lord Ganesha and light a diya in front of the idol with desi ghee.
4. Decorate the idol with yellow flower garland and offer sweets (Modaks or laddoo), spread some akshat and keep a kalash full of water.
5. Offer Durva grass, meetha paan and bananas.
6. Recite Bindayak Katha and offer prayers to Ganpati Ji with full devotion.
7. Chant Ganesha Mantras to invoke the idol and seek blessings.
8. Recite Lord Ganesah Aarti and offer prayers to Lord Ganesha in the evening.
9. Kalash, which you have kept in the morning, offer that water to Moon and complete the fasting rituals.
10. Offer bhog prasad before you break the fast but make sure the food must be sattvik.
