Hazzard: Anti-vaxxers “obviously live in another universe”

Anti-vaxxers and others who oppose the COVID-19 vaccines “obviously live in another universe”, says NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard.

It is hoped an increased supply of vaccines will boost the Commonwealth’s sluggish rollout with just 13 per cent of eligible Australian’s fully vaccinated.

“Can I just stress that anti-vaxxers obviously live in another universe and others who give messages that this virus isn’t dangerous and don’t get vaccinated clearly have no medical or scientific training,” he said.

“This virus is an extremely transmissible virus, it can kill you and it can kill your family and your friends.

“There is no question that we will not get out of this pandemic without a very substantial proportion of our population being vaccinated.

“Please go and get vaccinated, don’t listen to some of these crazy messages that are coming out implying that this is not a dangerous virus, it is extremely dangerous.”
