What Happened In and Since After 2019 Assembly Elections in Haryana?
In 2019, Haryana witnessed a hung assembly with no major political party securing a majority. The BJP emerged as the largest party with 40 seats, followed by Congress with 31 seats. The JJP secured 10 seats, while the INLD managed only one seat. Other parties and independents accounted for 8 seats. With the majority mark set at 45, the BJP formed an alliance with the Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, leading to Manohar Lal Khattar’s appointment as Chief Minister.
