A major fire broke out in the Dawar Tulail market of Gurez in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday evening. The blaze damaged more than half a dozen shops and nearby residential houses, officials said. Firefighters were deployed to control the flames, though the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage remain unclear. No casualties were reported at the time of this report.
