Ahmedabad, August 1: Following a major controversy in the NEET examination marking, a girl from Gujarat who achieved an impressive score of 705 out of 720 in the 2024 NEET-UG results reportedly failed her supplementary exams and 12th board exams. This unexpected outcome has rendered her ineligible for college admission. Despite being a NEET topper, her repeated failures in the board exams have caused significant turmoil.

The girl failed physics and chemistry in the board examination conducted in March. She subsequently took the Gujarat board’s supplementary exams in June, which offer a second chance to those who fail up to three papers. However, she has now failed Class 12 and is unable to pass physics. In the supplementary exam, she scored only 22 in physics, slightly improving from the 21 she received on her initial attempt. NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Counselling for NEET UG To Start From August 14.

According to NEET admission norms, candidates must pass their Class 12 exams before the first round of NEET counselling to be eligible for admission. A candidate taking the class 12 exam 2024 can still apply and take the test. Still, they won’t be eligible for admission to undergraduate medical courses if they don’t pass their qualifying exam with the required percentage by the first round of counselling.
