A groom called off his wedding because the bride’s family didn’t serve a curry he wanted – before marrying another woman the same day.
Ramakant Patra, 27, arrived for the ceremony in Jaipur, India on Wednesday.
He was welcomed by the bride, a 27-year-old woman, and her family who took him for lunch before the big day.
The groom’s party had demanded mutton curry be served as part of the wedding feast, the New Indian Express reported.
When the dish wasn’t prepared, a row broke out and escalated quickly.
It ended with Patra storming out and calling quits on the ceremony before staying at a relative’s nearby.
To add insult to injury, he married another woman that night before returning home to Rebanapalaspal.
Earlier this week a bride in Utter Pradesh refused to go through with the nuptials after learning her fiance had poor eyesight.
It is understood the wedding was arranged by the pair’s parents, meaning they had limited knowledge of one another before the big day.
And earlier this month, a groom was so set on tying the knot that he didn’t let his wife dying at the altar stop him from getting hitched.
Later in the day he asked her parents if he could wed her younger sister instead – and they agreed.
