Neena Gupta’s Wendell Rodricks’ off-white saree for Golden Globes
Actor Neena Gupta attended the Golden Globe Awards after-party in 2019 held in California, US and stood out with her unique sartorial choice. The veteran star gave the much-preferred evening gown a miss for the occasion and instead chose a beautiful saree that embraced Indian traditions and modern aesthetics. Her six yards is from the shelves of the famous designer and her late friend Wendell Rodricks’ clothing label. Styled with minimal accessories and soft glam, Neena Gupta scored full marks for her red-carpet look. Check out her picture from the event below.
Regarding the design elements, Neena Gupta chose an off-white chiffon saree for the Golden Globes after-party. The monotone look draped elegantly in traditional style with the pallu hanging from the shoulder came together with a full sleeve blouse featuring shimmering embellishments, sheer overlay, a fitted silhouette and a round neckline.
A classic bindi, traditional earrings, silver clutch and a pastel-coloured stole rounded off the accessories with the elegant look. In the end, Neena chose open tresses, subtle eye shadow, mascara on the lashes, kohl-lined eyes, nude lip shade, darkened brows, blushed cheekbones, and a minimal base rounded off the glam picks.
Meanwhile, Golden Globes will return with its 80th edition on January 10 (January 11 for India). This year, the Golden Globes will return in its full glory after the awards show got dropped by its US broadcaster in 2021 amid allegations of racism, sexism and conflicts of interest. It will take place at 8 pm ET (5:30 am IST). The red carpet appearances will begin by 5:30 am, and the actual ceremony will begin by 6:30 am.
