Ford dealership to raffle Bronco First Edition to help the homeless

A Ford dealership in South Carolina hopes to raise $100,000 for the United Way by raffling off a vehicle on New Year’s Eve.

But it’s not just any vehicle up for grabs. Burns Ford of Lancaster is offering a Bronco First Edition, which is sold out and months behind schedule on production.

The minimum cost to participate is $10, which provides 10 entries. The more entries someone buys, the less each one costs. In the first two weeks, nearly 20,000 entries were sold, raising more than $9,000.

Entries are sold at go.rallyup.com/2021bronco. The website allows the United Way to access funds immediately rather than having to wait until the drawing at the end of the year.

“It will help us with some of the funds we are passing out now,” Amber Jackson, executive director of the United Way of Lancaster County, told The Lancaster News. “It is coming at the perfect time.”
