Firefighters battled to contain the Pack Creek Fire burning in eastern Utah on June 13 as the blaze grew to over 5,400 acres and conditions were tipped to worsen. Local authorities ordered evacuations for the areas east of Geyser Pass on La Sal Mountains. The wildfire was expected to grow amid hot and dry conditions.
