Udhampur: An encounter broke out in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district between security forces and terrorists on Wednesday. Two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in Marta Village of Ramnagar in Udhampur.
As per DIG DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Rayees Mohammad Bhat, contact has been established with terrorists. The gunfight is currently underway.
According to reports, acting on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, security forces launched a joint operation. A search operation was launched in the area. During the operation, terrorists opened fire on the security personnel.
The security forces retaliated strongly.
