A driver has blown nearly six times the legal blood alcohol limit after allegedly speeding through roadworks in Adelaide.
Road workers managed to stop the я╗┐Mitsubishi van on Grand Junction Road, Hope Valley at about 9.20pm last night before calling police.я╗┐
Officers said the driver recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.288 – nearly six times the legal limit for a fully licensed driver.
Police said checks also revealed the driver was allegedly suspended from holding a licence.я╗┐
The driver was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and driving unlicensed.
He was also issued with a further 12 month instant loss of licence, had his vehicle impounded for 28 days and will appear in court at a later date.
